Nintendo are now lowering the price of their latest model, the Nintendo 3DS across the globe. Last month the company stated that they would be lowering the price of the handheld gaming console by August 12th 2011, reducing cutting the prices by a third to retail partners.

From early retail pricing it looks like Tesco will be selling the console for the lowest price so far at £115, a drastic reduction from its previous price of £185.

I'm thinking of buying one now, I'll need to get a new R4 card for it because my old one won't work in the flashy new model, but with the £70 I'm saving it's hardly a problem!

The new 3D games have gone down pretty well form reviews I've read, but I sort of want to try some of them out before I buy the 3DS in case I don't like the 3D effect!
